Kayla Marie Jackson was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and spent her adolescent- adult years living bi-coastal between Milwaukee and Los Angeles due to her commitment to her passion, dance.
Kayla Marie has always had a passion for the arts and has studied various dance genres under premier training facilities including Milwaukee Ballet School and Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Kayla is trained in Classical Ballet & Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Character, Tap, Hip- Hop, Heels and various cultural dance genres.
Kayla received her B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Marketing from Spelman College where she participated in Morehouse College Dance Team affectionately known as ‘ Mahogany N Motion’ as a captain, as well as being crowned Miss Kappa Alpha Psi of the Pi Chapter at Morehouse College, & choreographer for other school events & pageants including the Miss Spelman Pageant.
After five years in corporate working as an IT Marketing Professional, Kayla Marie decided to pursue her career in entertainment full-time by signing with Xcel Talent Agency. Some of her credits include: Milwaukee Ballet's Don Quixote ( don Key-Ho-Tae) and Nutcracker, Aretha Franklin, Ludacris, Ciara, Iggy Azalea, Scotty ATL, Teddy Riley, GUY, Black Street, BET’s Hit the Floor, CW: Legacies, Step Up High Water the Series, BET: Boomerang, Bolden & More.
In addition, Miss Jackson is also a former 5yr veteran NBA Dancer for the Atlanta Hawks where she has served as a team lead for 4 years, a captain for two years, a social media specialist for the Atlanta Hawks LLC and a choreographer for the dance team as well as the Atlanta Hawks A- Team speciality all male dance team.
As passionate as Kayla Marie is about the arts she is just as passionate about serving her community and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, the Nu Lambda Omega Chapter as well as working with the young ladies of her Alma Mater, Mahogany N Motion as an assistant coach choreographer.
Kayla lives by the guiding principles of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These fruits of the spirit have kept her grounded and have helped her persevere throughout her lifetime and continue to guide her as she works towards a promising future.
